I'd like to see some actual statistics for cases where a civilian with a concealed was actually able to use said weapon in a justifiable scenario versus the number of injuries/deaths due to accidents and irresponsible gun ownership.
I would never feel comfortable carrying it in my purse to places like work and even if I did, I would likely never have enough training to ever be able to use if effectively in a scenario where it's viable. The chance of me injuring myself or someone else by accident is probably way higher than me ever having the opportunity to use it to protect anyone.
Arming the general populace with a lethal weapon that most don't know how to handle responsibly sounds like a terrible idea.
