Back in the 70's or 80's there was no slavery but you could easily still tell that a White Heterosexual Christian Male was the ideal since any other " group" of people from Homosexuals to Muslims had less rights than that White Heterosexual Christian Male.

Nowhere is this more blantantly obvious than the circumstances surrounding the initial research and discovery of the H.I.V. virus.  Initially called 'GRID' (Gay-Related Immuno Defficiency), Regan wouldn't even name it publicly, nevermind actually finding votes for funding research into combatting the outbreak.
