I always found that weird and defeats the purpose of the library.

I dont mind moves/tv and video games but should keep in line with them being educational, (ie. documentary films and video games like Brain Age)

Entertainment gets people in, which is why my library is always bustling with activity.  For example, they have a weekly anime night in the film room because kids demanded it.  Makes them associate library with positive image so more likely to go there and check other stuff out.  The dark age of library was 2000-2005 period when they were stuck in old "books and education" model.  Offering entertainment, classes, clubs, internet, films and games saw membership sky rocket and saved it from being obsolete.

We may prefer all people want to read or view educational material, but it is not reasonable if you want folks to show up.
