At this point the 3DS isn't "Old" now, but it will be 5.5 years old by August 2016.  In addition, the Wii U is a complete comercial failure and needs to be replaced as soon as possible.

Wrong on both. Wii U is profitable and even if it wasn't, replacing it soon would be the worst possible decision. Not only keeping support gets as much money as possible, it also doesn't piss the people that bought it.

Too bad so sad.  The Wii U is not profitable and the longer they wait the deeper they dig the hole.  Either way it doesn't matter because this is clearly what they are doing in reality.
