Where did this stupid "trend" come from? Game trailer reaction videos?

It's just spilled over from the rest of Youtube. People want super-easy super-quick videos they can make at all times, so they just "react" to everything. I try to avoid that sort of thing on my channel unless the thing could actually use a reaction, and even then it's not a live one--just my impressions afterward.
