The numbers I was quoting relate to percentage of the income tax revenues, which constitutes about half the total tax revenue. So yeah, the 1% pays 25% of the total tax revenue. Actually, more, as they also contribute disproportionally to other sectors of the pie, such as payroll and estate tax.
