And I have a question: should I play the previous Blazblue games before buying Chronophantasma Extended? I don't know much about the story.....all I know was the series are set around 150 years after Xblaze event, that's all.

If you are interested on the story, get Continum Shift Extend on Vita and then chronophantasma... BBCSExtend have a resume of Calamity Trigger, but You can get this too for PSP on the Store... The Gag/fun endings are worth it, and is 9.99$ only last time I saw it... You can play Calamity Trigger and Continum Shift meanwhile You wait for Chronophantasma Extend that release next 28th July... THE STORY OF BB IS ONE OF THE EBST OF VIDEOGAMES IN GENERAL!!
You probably will enjoy more Xblaze if play Blazblue series...
BTW I still pending this Xblaze... Wanted to buy it recently, it was on offer on the store.. but didn't had enough money -.-
