anyway on topic, i work 12-15 hour days, and usually weekends to on the norm, being a v-22 crewchief/mechanic. i dont want to work more.

Wow, is that being on-site, or do you actually work all that time? Sounds like a cool job anyway, I hope it pays well at least.

well thankfully lately its just been about 10-11hour days. but when we were out in 29 palms supporting a month long integrated training exercise (ITX), and for a while like between last august to november, we were working weekends, with what what supposed to be 12 on 12 off. but really turned into 14+ hours on, less than 10 off.

and yes, its on site at the squadron hanger, im either flying for missions, or fixing the plane to be ready to fly.
Being a crewchief is a fun job, I love flying all the time, landing on aircraft carriers, or on a mountain, and shooting guns out the back. but its a demanding job.

and no, the pay sucks, e-3/lance corporals make like nothing. and it doesnt help that the past 2 years of pay increases have been the smallest in military history, (1% each year, which lags significantly behind national pay increase, and inflation, which is what the anual pay increase is suppossed to do) nationally average pay went up like 2.5%, with inflation even higher.
