Its not really clear at this point whether it will have the 65nm processor, etc. Logic would dictate that they would switch the internal components (I think they stopped making 80 gigs units for awhile which would give them time to make the change), but who knows. I don't think we will really know until the bundle hits stores. |
Why would they use the more expensive 90nm Cell processor? They will most likely use the cheaper 65mn Cell and hopefully a 65mn RSX too ;)

All current PS3 use the 65nm tech for CELL, but the RSX as far as I know has yet not made the leap to 65nm, but it will apparently start being mass produced and put into PS3 come some time around october, though I could be wrong.
