Seriously?

If PS4 can do VR, so can X1. They're practically the same machines. You don't need high end visuals for VR, so pretty much any platform that has a GPU can do VR up to a certain amount of fidelity. If the environment is abstract enough even Intel graphics and smartphones can do VR.

No, no they are not. The PS4 has a huge GPU and RAM advantage and even then the Morpheus is going to come with a seperate unit that splits the image so the console doesn't have to.

Plus, the Morpheus will be less demanding than the Rift anyways since it's lower res.

OR will be able to display lower resolutions(I assume) so that resolution argument is moot.

The power comparison between PS4 and X1 is ridiculous. Both consoles come with shitty hardware and both are extremely underpowered, especially for VR. 60 FPS for VR is already the biggest joke. The fact that PS4 is about 5% less crippled than the X1 doesn't make it extremely more suited for VR.

VR is only resource consuming when it's done right i.e. high resolution, high fps. Both PS4 and X1 are unable to do that. The fact that X1 is slightly less powerful than PS4 doesn't make it "incompatible" with VR.

At the end of the day the biggest factor of how well any VR application will run on any given system is the software. If the software isn't as demanding it will run fine on both PS4 and X1. If it actually has proper visuals it will run on neither.
