Okay, I think i know a tad more about the halo community than you. Almost nobody is upset because they supposedly "confirmed" it was definitely in the game then took it out so stop spreading this nonsense because its false. HaloGaf is filled to the brim with people faking interest in halo to push their own agenda and frankie says as much, check the beyond forums or halo waypoint forums and you'll find that everybody is upset with the fact that its omitted from the game rather than because it was confirmed and they had been lied to. I know who Josh Holmes is and anybody with half a brain knows that before a beta is even released, off hand tweets saying a feature is in the game are not confirmation that it will definitely be in the game and the game is always subject to change, especially as the beta had not even began.
Not even a month after his previous tweets he changed the wording and included the word "plan". Could he have worded his previous tweets regarding splitscreen better? Yes, but these tweets were not confirmation of it definitely being in the game. At no time during E3 2014 did they confirm splitscreen so again stop spreading false information. E3 2014 was almost exclusively about MCC.

Look at the negative reaction in this thread. Literally everyone is complaining that they have taken such a key feature out of halo, not that they were lied to.
