Also I don't think there is any "saving" the Wii U anymore at this point. Almost all third party has left the system and it's down to Nintendo to just keep supporting it as best as they can and maybe get the occasional third party exclusive on there.
In my opinion the best thing Nintendo can do at this point is to just keep the core Nintendo fans who bought a Wii U happy. Keep supporting it with games like Splatoon and other franchises, so that way they will feel satisfied when the Wii U cycle ends and NX gets announced, whatever it may be.
Then with NX they need to re-gain third party support and go on from there.
