1. Metroid Prime 4 - Obvious why

2. Animal Crossing U - This would definitely help boost a lot of units

3. Yokai-Watch U - Now THIS would save the Wii U in Japan at least. Like it would sell pretty damn amazing. (Yokai-Watch is selling better than Pokemon in Japan. Not sure if it will sell great in the west, but it would boost Wii U in Japan)

4. Pokemon Red/Blue HD remake - This would boost sales practically everywhere

5. Nintendo making a deal with Capcom to release an exclusive Wii U Monster Hunter. If it was Monster Hunter 5, it would no doubt boost a ton. Especially in Japan.

1. Really? Even on systems that sold very well (NES, SNES, Wii) Metroid didn't sell huge numbers, so I don't expect it would help to save Wii U unless it had a porn minigame where you get to bone Samus in whatever manner you wanted. According to VGC the best selling Metroid game ever was on GC, and we all know how well GC sold.

2. Maybe, I really have no clue about this franchise. But it seems to be wildly popular on handhelds and fairly popular on home consoles, so an Animal Crossing on Wii U seems like a no-brainer.

3. Wii U doesn't need saving in Japan, it's doing well enough there, though arguably home consoles in general need saving. It needs saving outside of Japan so I would say Nintendo are better off putting resource into something that will wow people everywhere other than Japan. I don't think Yokai Watch would do that.

4. Pokemon is a handheld franchise, when it has made an appearance on home consoles it has sold well, but it still only sells to a fraction of franchise fans, so it has obviously never really drawn people to buy the home console.

5. Again with the handheld franchises, and again with the very Japan-centric franchises. No, because Wii U doesn't desperately need help in Japan, and MH houtside of Japan is only marginally better of an idea than Yokai Watch. But also history has proven that MH is only really popular on handhelds and only modestly popular on home consoles. Capcom pissed off a fanbase when moving MH from PSP to 3DS. They would piss off the fanbase even more moving from handheld to home console.

What Nintendo needs is more new games, like Splatoon. Tapping the wells of existing franchises won't save Wii U, because none of those wells saved GC.
