I'd don't think it's so much racism, it's just that NCL is very controlling and they feel their way is most often the right way.

So if you're a Western studio kicking up attitude or trying to inject too many of your own ideas and the game is not working out ... then there's probably going to be problems.

In Nintendo's business culture I don't think the developers are allowed to question authority too much. You do as you're told, even the EAD teams. If the higher ups say you're working on a Kirby game ... you're working on a Kirby game even if you want to do say Metroid (lol). It's only the senior staff that have a big say in decisions.

Im just going to be that guy and say, SOny doesnt have this problem, wonder why.

Nintendo is an extremely conservative Japanese company (extremely conservative by Japanese standards). Sony is based in Japan, but Japanese execs don't appear to have that much power in the company while Iwata's inner circle NCL runs Nintendo with a iron fist. You don't really see little things like this in Sony's games because Japanese management doesn't push their weight around like they do at Nintendo. At Sony most games are developed bottom to top in the US or Europe, so there are fewer cultural conflicts.
