Ok lets say this Japanese manager dude let this game go through, and the game was terrible, and universally panned by critics and it bombed. It would have most likely have had this studio end up in the same place. Even if it was good most likely it wouldn't have sold. Other devs tried to make other games they thought that would appeal to western taste that did bad. The Conduit comes to mind. And Mad World, and No More Heroes etc. Wii just didn't have the audience for it.

Dude ... what are you talking about?  None of that is what the video is about.  That's not even what happened.

The situation, as reported in the video, is that a studio with western developers was used to make a game with a western vibe--except with Japanese management that was not interested in the ideas or suggestions of anyone who was not Japanese.  The game ended up being bad with western developers and Japanese management wanting different things out of the game, with the management having the final say-so.  If the game was bad then management is every bit as responsible, or perhaps even more so, as they're the ones who decided on the final direction.
