Since HAL Laboratory developed Super Smash Bros., I guess we have to exclude that, same with Retro for Donkey Kong and Metroid. But for me the choices are obvious.
I haven't looked up the developers for each of these franchises so some could be off.
Nintendo - Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Star Fox, F-Zero
Capcom - Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Onimusha, first Dead Rising, Dino Crisis, Ghosts ' Goblins.
