I've always felt that Xbox is a console for "rich multiplayer experiences" It doesn't really require mindblowing graphics, but its imperative that its games are sound performance and mechanics wise. Most of their titles do lack a certain visual flair, I guess, but there are exceptions. Quantum Break is on the way, which is story driven with excellent graphics, and Crackdown 3 is probably going to be another graphical showcase for the system with its fully destructible environments.

With single player story driven titles, which is what I'd say Sony focuses on, graphics are far more important. They can get away with sacrificing performance and mechanics even for the sake of telling a good story, or creating a nice atmosphere.

Lastly, I don't really get where people are coming from when they say that M$ only puts out shooters. They've had a lot of variety so far this gen. What 1st or 2nd party shooters do they even have besides Halo and Gears? Titanfall? Does that even count?
