the two PS3 SLIM's were not only because die shrink but also because SONY wanted to cut-cost as did MICROSOFT with 360 SUPER SLIM to bring it to $149

from 28nm,you can easily co down to 7nm which PS4 will by the end of its lifetime


I don't know how to break it to you man, but;

 

  1. Don't believe everything you see on the internet. 
  2. With exception to the PS3, every PS console got only one slim version, and all it its second to last year on the market. 
  3. If you think about how "slim" consoles are made, you will understand why the PS4 can only have one slim model. And why that model is a long way off. 
And ms were in the same boat with Sony llast gen too... They started off with 90nm processors too. Trust me, processor size is the primary determinant of console size. 

 

And LOL at ur belief that from 28nm you can easily go to 7nm... If we see a 7nm chip by 2025 that would be a technological breakthrough. You obviously aren't aware of all the problems and complications of die shrinks.
