I honestly believe this. The reason why Nintendo wanted to focus this year's e3 on games in late 2015/early 2016 is because there are no Wii U or 3DS games coming late 2016 because the NX will be released by then. All late 2016 releases are on NX. Nintendo needs to move on from the Wii U asap and they know it.
