generic-user-1 said: this is realy bad! sure the products look very interresting and should be on kickstarter or paid for by sony, but this system is bad, its anticonsumer and includes alot of moral hazard on sonys side. |
so, explain to me what "the system" is? I'm pretty sure you have a false idea how the website works
hint: it doesn't work like kickstarter
|
people preorder a product thats just a concept and pay way before the product is tested and ready for market.
thats not good! the risk is only on the consumer side...
i dont realy have a problem with the things sony has on their site, they look good!
but what if this concept will be adapted by other companys? what if big 3rd party gaming companys use the same concept?
|
not true for the 3 items they have up
the products they are offering now are ready for production (otherwise they wouldn't be shipped in just a few month), their market research probably indicated very low consumer interest, so they are organizing a profitable low production run with this site
btw in case of quality issues consumers have the same rights like when normally buying a product, as I said it doesn't work like kickstarter where people are stuck with a non-functional turd (or just straight out lose their money if the project falls flat after being "funded")

if those were ready for production, why should sony not fund a overpriced watch? they can make alot of money with that even if they just sell 500k ww.
