I can tell you love the PS4 and it's perceived "perfection", but you're putting blinders on. All three of the systems require some sort of money solution to overcome and maximize play time. The problem is that the PS4's is the least convenient at the start. There's a reason a majority of PS4 owners on forums, etc. all agree on the DS4 having too short of a battery life and too short of a cable. The Wii U has the included adapter, so you plug it in and think "gee, that battery doesn't last long at all!"... and "I hope I don't have to plug it in all the time, I'll have to remember to place it on the charging cradle whenever I'm done and keep the AC adapter around just in case I play over 4 hours". The Xbox One uses AAs, so you put some in since you already have some laying around, and 19 hours later you get a low battery warning, and pause your game/leave your match and swap them out saying, "gee, I don't want to have to keep putting batteries in this thing!"... or if you have rechargeables, "I guess I'll always have to have a pair on standby, and swap it out when I can see it's got one bar left, I wouldn't want to do this while I'm in the middle of owning newbs in Call of Duty". The PS4 goes through it's first session fine, and you're like "cool!"... and then on your second session, it runs low, so you grab the charging cable and plug it in... then as you move back to the couch, "CRAP, the cable's not long enough! Why is it so short?!", followed by the fact that there is NOTHING you can do at this point but either sit on the floor in front of the TV and keep playing while it charges, or turn off your game and let it charge, saying, "okay, while that's charging, I need to find a longer cable or something!". Do you get the difference now? The reason so many people complain about the PS4 is because when it DOES run low, you are HELPLESS initially unless you prepared for it. The other two have instantly available solutions, and as I said, are thus more ameccable in the low battery scenario. |
Umm.. sure. At this point it's what ever. I have all 3 systems and a dual gtx970 gaming pc. I could use the same argument about the xbox, unless you perpared for it. People have long usb cords. Sorry you don't. I guess you're an apple guy? Don't have a wall plug in next to your couch?
