That's what I've had to do, but as a person who pays attention to utility bills, the 3 hour standby mode just irks me.
In other words, I prefer to turn things OFF-off, not sort-of-off, lol... I turned off all other rest mode functions to minimize the power draw so that it's basically ONLY for charging the controller, but plugging in the controller after every play session is a bit excessive if you think about it. It's not a big deal nor time consuming, but again, compared to the other two... >.> hahaha!
