yes uncharted wud not end as it is becoming SONY's biggest franchise,don't compare it to CRASH and JAX & DAXTER as those were more of kiddie games and SONY back then had many more exclusives and main titles like GTA,FF,GT,MGS and all other games mainly selling on PS1 and PS2 which is not the case after PS3 debacle

and ND doesn't decide,SONY does.basic common buisness sense if you have been following tech buiness and SONY and PLAYSTIOn as company and brand

 

And regarding GTA

1. You did say 100-150 mil:

i might have typed that as a range but SONY surely spent $50-100million on GTA5 bundle and marketing deal,$50million more doesn't really make much of a deal

2. If you knew anything about making smart investments, then you'd understand how ridiculous the thought of Sony paying hundreds of millions of dollars not once but twice in a generation for GTA timed exclusivity is.

PS3 bombed because of SONY arrogance and exlcusivity losses

it wud be the best investment to secure th biggest gaming property which alone wud win MICROSOFT or SONY the generation hands down

and most of the investment will be easily paid up by royalty and console profits on the game itself

plus much more as PLAYSATION and SONY brand building and profitability and comeback and other royalities from other games and console sales and long-term PLAYSTATION brand logeivity

and GTA going exlcusive and PS4 performance will make many other big game going exclsuive too

 

talking about buisness sense and talking abt being a gamer,if you have 0.1% of gaming and buisness sense or following then then you wudn't even question abt GTA exclusivity IMPACT

Sony are the freaking market leader, they know the majority of people will buy the game on PS4,

YES they are but they were market leaders with PS2 too and then nobdy saw PS3 bombing coming

and with MICROSOFT $20Billion profits each year and Nintendo getting sense stuffed into them and their biggest franchises MARIO,ZELDA,etc coming back

and not to talk abt the imminent  APPLE TV launch in the next few years and ANDROID TV and SAMSUNG,GOOGLE,etc coming in

 

SONY surely needs to totally seal off their leadership

MICROSOFT buying TAKE-TWO/ELECTRONIC ARTS/ACTIVISION or APPLE launching APPLE TV or ANDROID cheap TV's cud easily dethrone SONY and PS4 in merely 2-3years

we have seen that before,SONY doesn't need a repeat of PS3 and isn't anywhere near the company it was 10 years ago

SONY wud very well fall if PLAYSTATION falls,its their last main electronics brand

 

there is absolutely no point in them paying a ridiculous sum like that when they can achieve a perfectly fine result for a fraction of the money by paying for marketing,

you really don't seem like you follow gaming or have any buisness expertise or sense

marketing wud be good but nowhere near a Timed exclusive deal

 

and with their marketing,royalties,console sales and brand-strenghting and also the 3-game deal they already have with ROCKSTAR,it wudn't even be that expensive

 

the same goes for T2 and Rockstar who can easily just get the extra cash from Sony (or MS for that matter) without the hassle of pissing of the other fanbase.

When GTA Release,it is in a league of its own.you want to play the game then buy the console its releasing on

ROCKSTART has always pissed off fans and still it hasn't mattered one bit to their sales

and the way fans switch sides and most are casuals,they don't really care if it will be PS4 exclusive and with PS4 dominance,most of 360 fans already will go to PS4
