2 - Wii U is outracking the PS3 and 360

Wii U sold 2,524,845 units after 3 months, while PS3 sold 1,769,656, and 360 sold 2,029,160. PS4 will be a clone of the 360 and PS3, but with more power, so PS4 will do just as much as the console it will copy.

3 - Wii U has an innovative idea

Wii U's GamePad is innovate and PS4 will not be innovative. Wii U's innovation will sell consoles

Both of these are actually very good reasons ( or were back then )when supporting the fact that the WII U was going to outsell the PS4.

Reason 4 was just plain stupid ( No offence to your 11 year old self ) and Reason 1 is...meh. Only reason the WII U doesn't have many generic titles is because there's a lack of third party titles on the system.

I think if you look into reason 2, It's not entirely valid. After the end of the launch years (2006 and 2012) the gap for PS3 and Wii U was about 1,000,000 units in Wii U's favor. Around 1 1/2 months later the gap was around 750,000 in Wii U's favor.  And 360 went from a 1,100,000 gap to a 500,000 gap. You just have to take into account that Wii U lost the steam after the better launch, and the gap was getting smaller.

Yeah, but for many as long as the WII U had a sizeable gap after Christmas, the fact that the WII U's gap was shrinking wouldn't sink in until exactly before it happened. You were also 11, so this is good enough reasoning. Not to say that you couldn't come up with the shrinking gap conclusion back then, but that since you deeply supported the WII U you were very unlikely to admit that the gap was shrinking ( That's how it goes with all fans whether it be adults or children )
