Not a bad post, but a little general in your premise. There are only some developers that are taking issue with the Wii, and based on who they are and the games they develop (ie Rockstar), I'm guessing most of the people who work for that developer are not that different from the people they are making games for - ie "core" gamers who want their HD grafix. And I'm sure you're right that they are sore about backing the wrong horse as well.
However for each of the "hostiles" there seems to be at least one "friendly" - Capcom, Atlus, Sega, etc - who have embraced the Wii, both for it's innovations, and for not putting the HD gun to their development costs.
In the end, the free market will out. Maybe - hopefully- there will be room for all to succeed. If not, it is not likely to be the WiiHaters who come out on top - the disparity in development costs and prospective user bases is just too great for them to successfully outcompete Wii supporters.
