The wiiu and 3DS get not many games for the rest of the year, playstation gets every month a new japanese game. It will continie that way until the NX launches. That list also shows top not overall system software sales

It shows the top 100 best selling games. Aka, essentially the only games of the year that sold well enough to give a damn about (considering number 100 sold 81k, anything beneath it isn't anything to be concerned about).

But you know what, I will humor you and add up every single sale of those games and compare Nintendo and Sony. This is obviously what you want, right?

Nintendo (3DS & Wii U): 51 Games / Units Sold: 23,049,103

Sony (PSV & PS4): 49 Games / Units Sold: 7,954,327

The thing is, the games that the PSV and PS4 typically get don't sell over 1m, or even 500k. Like, just last week the PS4 got DMC4, but that game will be lucky to reach even 100k LT. And the Vita recently got The Legend of Heroes, but that probably won't even reach 50k. Meanwhile, the Wii U hasn't gotten a new game since Splatoon but that's nearing 400k and the 3DS just got Rhythm Heaven, which is close to 300k by now and it's getting Fire Emblem this week, which will open around 350k.

The stipulation that you just created that Nintendo gamers just don't buy games and Sony gamers do is horrendously wrong, I almost feel bad that I had to spell all of this out.

Edit: And if you think Sony will sell more games than Nintendo this year (in Japan) with games like Monster Hunter X, Yo-Kai Watch Busters, Yo-Kai Watch 3, Fire Emblem Fates, The Great Ace Attorney, Animal Crossing: HHD, Dragon Quest VIII, Super Robot Wars, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Mario Maker and Illusory Revelations on the horizon with Splatoon, Rhythm Heaven, Dragon Quest X, Xenoblade X, Mario Party 10, Girls Mode 3, Puzzle & Dragons, Bravely Second, etc. recently released, then you're sadly mistaken.
