I still mainly game on PC despite owning all consoles. You can never go wrong, if you are prepared to spend enough money over a consoles generations life. Watching the PC conference though was painful, it showed how far PC gaming has to go to get mainstream. Seeing thousands of people at the other events, then seeing a small 50ish seat theater, with half of those seats empty said it all really. I can't help but think that as PCs move to being 3-4 times more powerful, that power will be wasted, as cheap iffy ports become the norm.
Also I can't help but see that the platform that made PC gaming mainstream again over the last few years in Steam, is once again being broken up, as it turns into more of a place to buy Indy's rather than a place to get decent games in the Sales. This splitting up, will probably mean that over the gen, PC gaming takes a step backwards instead of three steps forwards.
