I agree with the whole list but I wanted to talk about rule #1 ... I think that the statement "Graphics don't matter" could be stated more accurately as "What is important about graphics today is very different than what was important 10 years ago." In my opinion, the artistic direction and talent in the creation of graphical assets is far more important than the technology that is used to render these graphics
