Yesterday America finally made Same-sex marriage legal in all fifty states and hence removing power from the fourteen states which did not allow same-sex marriage.

However it’s no secret that Same-Sex marriage was taboo and considered morally wrong just a couple of years/decades ago by many and any same-sex act was considered a “Sin” even by those that did not follow any religion. However nowadays this Taboo on Same-Sex marriage has been lifted and thanks to that certain people are now also advocating the legistlation of other practices/acts which up to now are generally considered Taboo. In order of popularity these include:

 1. Polygamy

 2. Marijuana  ( Old source but many have brought this up on social media and Youtube )

 3. Prostitution

 4. Incest

 5. Pedophilia

( Not all of them have a source since they range from very wanted to much less wanted but all of them have been mentioned in social media and therefore there are minorities which do indeed want these practices/acts to be legalized )

As a normal human being you are more than likely to find that at least one of these practices/acts go against your moral beliefs whether you believe in a religion or not. Therefore my questions are:

 1. Do you think that thanks to big steps taken to legalize practices which were previously Taboo, that the practices/acts mentioned above are much more likely to be legalized?

 2. Do you personally think that morally we as a society as from now onwards if we do legalize such acts, are heading in the wrong direction? Therefore do you want to see the acts mentioned above be legalized?

Where have you ever seen liberals trying to support/legalise pedophilia??

I'll answer both 1 and 2 toegther. Our society is moving in a direction where we make lawful decisions on actual morality looking at the effect on people, not just our personally feelings of what we like/don't or consider normal/not normal. That same ignorance is what caused people to reject the notion that the world was round. Its means analysing issues with actual evidence, it mean accepting differences in people and allowing them freedoms as long they don't entrench upon othe peoples,  freedom from abuse and harrasment. This is opposed to previous tendency which was to make decisions based on tradition, tradition often steming from baseless feelings, false logic and folklore. This is why interacial marriage was once illegal, it was just a dated token of the time, a result of peoples discrimination against those who were different and their desire to hold strong to that ignorance. Other taboos that existed; sex before marriage, contreception (aka safe sex), eating pork, wearing clothing made from 2 different kinds of frabic......

Now on to Pedophilia which is in no way comparable to the same sex relations. A child CANNOT be a consenting sexual partner, they are not of sexual or emotional maturity and thus it is morally wrong, akin to rape and harrasment. The pedophile will always be abusing their power, they are vastly different topics.

The truth is that the world has been moving in the same direction for the last few centuries and the overwhelming result is a better quality of living across the board, less murder, less outward discrimination, less rape, sexual harrasment and child abuse. Pedophillia was actually far more accepted in the past with women being wed to mature men from extremely young ages. So I'll ask you, do you think the world is moving in the wrong or right direction?

Specific to your questions; I'll say 2,3 need to be analysed in depth ( so I don't know). 1 and 4 should be legalised, incest should be allowed with 2 conscenting adults, its 100% happens regardless of whether its legal or not and is probably responsible for human survival. The only "moral" thing against it is that it gives children unfavourably higher chances of being born with deformaties, but that also applies to people of poor health and carriers of genetic disorders and we would never tell them they're not allowed to have kids. 5 should forever remain illegal, over time what is considered the age of conscent may change and adjust though.
