I must admit, I've never known anyone to defend E.T. at adamantly as you do. | Because Im not in your generation when ET was released, so I have a different perspective on games than most of you. Do you know PONG right? Great game? What if I say to you that it sucks what will your reaction be? But thats what I feel about the game. If not for seanbaby's website I never knew ET game exist, but Im treating it like any other atari 2600 game, blocky graphics literally, no music, only bleeping sounds, and have repetitive gameplay just like any other atari 2600 games like centipede and space invaders. If you take it on that perspective ET wasnt that bad its actually have good graphics at that time, unlike the pure blocky graphics of space invaders. And the gameplay wasnt that bad its actually good if you know how to play it. ET for me was just different thats all...

I owned a 2600 and had dozens of games. Trust me, E.T. sucked on a grand scale even when you did know how to play it. Try Demon Attack, Pole Position, Pit Fall or Riddle of the Sphinx. Those were fun games with great gameplay. E.T. simply wasn't fun. Oh, and graphically.....it also sucked even for the blocky pixelated Atari graphics. At least whit other games you knew what you were looking at.
