Surely the issue was NEVER that people thought this kickstarter was meant to fund better coffee or w/e at Sony. Right? That's absurd o.O
It was shady to put a kickstarter at E3, it was shady to beg the hardcore crazy fans to spend so much money years in advance (money that they knew would come crashing in the moment they opened the kickstarter). It was shady that Sony didn't just outright fund them, having them on stage for E3 was enough.
But we all knew the money still went to the game, right? The previous ones had budgets of 90M dollars or something. They need every cent they can get to realize this game.
(And it might not be that good when it comes out.. It'll be very hard to live up to the hype, just sayin'. Good luck though, would be nice to have a new Shenmue game, that is pretty cool)
