Half of what you get in the base game is like a $15 DLC, not a $40 grand "expansion" LOL.

The problem that you and pretty much everyone else in this thread fail to realize - this game has NO subscription.

MMOs have a $12-15 a month fee ON TOP of expansions (WoW, FFXIV). Those that don't either have a Cash Item store and or an optional subscription (DCUO, TESO) or simply a cash item store (Warframe, Neverwinter, etc).

Destiny is stuck in this limbo state of Not an MMO - But also still an MMO.

Over the course of the year -- they nickel and dimed us for a grand total of $30 (collectors edition) / $35 (expansion pass) or $40 (individual). Thats $2.50/2.92/3.33 a month. Whether or not you agree with the amount of content in vanilla -- the upkeep cost was a fraction of what a traditional MMO would have been.

The expansion is being priced at a traditional expansion cost of $40. See: Every Wow Expansion, Every Starcraft 2 Expansion, Diablo 3 X1, FFXIV Expansion, etc.

They NEVER should have called the last 2 DLCs as expansions... they were miniscule DLCs. This one is truly an expansion in terms of the game. We are even getting new planets (Looks like Jupiter and Saturns Moons).

Thats said -- $30 would be more fair to those of us that paid already. I may not buy it either.
