Considering that Steam is already 5 years old (I think), Gabe Newell probably still thinks the PS3 is shit.
BenKenobi88, AFAIK, you only have to pay for Windows Live Gold if you want to play ranked matches, or have crossplatform gaming with the XBox360. And, AFAIK, only one game supports crossplatform gaming, the less than stellar Shadowrun.
Also, Windows Live will NEVER be as good as Steam. It's a program that's built into games. Worst decision ever. Microsoft really dropped the ball when it comes to PC gaming. Although I doubt that they really care at this point.
