Death sentence. Yes or no?

BIG NO for me. I am against the death sentence for multiple reasons, but two in particular.

Firstly I find it inhuman to decide over other people's lives and the death sentence is just a ''justified and legal'' way to murder someone.

Secondly I am an atheist so I believe once you're dead you don't feel or realise or whatever anything anymore, so the worst part about the death sentence is the moment right before you die. In a prison however you have decades, if not your whole life, to think about what you did wrong.
