Well, if that is your opinion perfect, and I do have one as well and makes as much a difference as yours. The online portion of the game doesn't have the same situations as the single player, the same obstacles, the same level design, the same enemies. It isn't the same. You take away the cutscene and you have an awesome gameplay, you just wouldn't know the context of the situation. You can't judge how remarkable Uncharted's TPS gameplay is simply by how many people played or not the multiplayer. Just like you can't judge COD's single player campaign just because everyone goes crazy on the multiplayer. Well, I guess that with your line of thinking then COD multiplayer is much better than Splatoon's since an insane amount of people play the shit out of it and Splatoon pales in comparison. |
I never said sales were indicative of quality though.
That said, could CoD sell over one million units in less than a month on one console that only managed to sell 9 million units? Maybe, maybe not. Would Splatoon sell well to the PS4/XBONE demographic? Who knows... There is a market there for colorful shooters though, given the fact that PvZ: GW is getting a sequel.
I also never said the TPS elements in Uncharted were bad, just unremarkable.
For me the best TPS is Splatoon or Battlefront. Those are the games I had the most fun with. Never played Gears though...
And yes, it's my opinion, I don't consider it a universal fact, I can only say that it is true for me.
