Against. Death is an easy out for many of the people who get sentenced. They have nothing to lose.

Another aspect that people may not have considered is wrongful conviction. It has happened before. Well guess what; you can't apologize to a dead man. Hell it's bad enough to send someone to prison wrongfully, but execute them? There is no going back when you sentence someone to death. Besides, I think it is an archaic system existing in a modern world.

It isn't just about what the suspect deserves, either. I know what a lot of people will say; putting these killers/rapists etc in jail (when they don't deserve to live) and wasting tax dollars to keep them alive is a bunch of bullshit. I say it doesn't matter; USA pretty much has a Corporate prison system anyway.

Want a better method? A better area for your tax dollars? Preventative and restorative justice. Invest in the future by spending money now to prevent crime, so you don't pay in lives or money down the road.

Damage is still done if the convicted person is in jail for many years. Oh, we're sorry we found the culprit, you're free.

Yep I agree, hence the bolded. But that sentence had less to do with OP and more to do with a branching topic so I buried it a little in relevant information

Your preventive measures really needs the cooperation of the enviroment issues around the subject too. You can tell a kid all day this is wrong etc. But if they're getting beaten. Or live in a place that has guns go off every night. And or get infulenced up the ass. It's really not gonna work. Then you run into the issue of "Get the fuck away from me and stop bothereing me about BS I don't care about." response. You can have classes and such on these things. How many people are willing to go to them. You can't force people. I rather just end the person. If they went out and killed 50 people on purpose. No side is perfect. Both ways will have people fall through cracks. Or abused rules. But those boston guys are 100% without fail conviced  proof. So they deserve this penalty.
