The home console market is not as big as the 6th gen, due to competition with PC and Japan becoming a mobile/handheld predominant market. If we beliebe this gen will be shorter than the last, PS4 will come close to reach PS1 numbers, but nothing more. Unless the XBone crumbles in the middle of the gen, PS4 wont come close to the 70% marketshare.

6th gen?

7th gen was the biggest gen of them all

and this gen will atleast be 7-8years

and competition from PC and mobile has actually made it easier as popularity of gaming is higher

When I said 6th gen, I was talking about the PS2 influence over its competition. Sorry for not clarifying that. The 7th gen was the biggest gen we'll probably see, videogame dedicated machines reached their peek, but the PS3 was hurt in sales due to its own problems and the 360/Wii popularity. During the 6th gen, nothing could stop the PS2. Now XBox and PC-gaming are a bigger threat to the PS4 than they were during the PS2 era, and with the japanese sales mostly gone, it will take a decent chunk of the market out of the equation (if the competition from PC and mobile actually made gaming as easy and popular as you say, Japan would still play a big rol on the home console market, and it really isn't at least compared to the pre-PS4 era).

i know u were talking abt 6th gen

JAPAN has more of handheld gaming nowadays

and yes today the consumer economy and pop-culture of spending and gaming popularity and globalization make it easier for PS4

and JAPAN sales will easily be replaced by GLOBAL sales in CHINA,INDIA,RUSSIA,MIDDLE EAST,SOUTH AMERICA,AUSTRALIA,etc
