Umm ... They did it for a decade. HD-CRT TVs were compared directly to their plasma TV counterparts, and reviewers generally pointed out that these CRT TVs were higher quality and less expensive than their plasma TV counterparts; this is (of course) before all the major TV manufacturers (virtually) abandoned CRT TVs |
Ugh... whatever. You know exactly what I'm talking about, stop picking at strings. Wii is last-gen technology with a pointer. Comparing last-gen technology with current-gen technology is a pointless exercise and if either HD console embraced casual gaming, it has the potential to be better than the Wii. Any sales figure quoting is redundant in this argument. |
Um, both are trying to do exactly this. Problem is they are not casual gaming platforms. Neither is mass market priced (well, X360 is getting closer) or is developer cost effective enough for this route but both are already trying according to their respective companies.
