Something tells me this wasnt ment to be announced (atleast not like this).
Its just a sony guy trying to convince someone that there is market share there, to support developement of VR games on their platform.
He lets it slip, as a means to convince the guy, theres nothing to be worried about.
Basically "go buy our morpheus, we have the VR market with us, over 24million users cant be wrong", is what the guy is saying.
