Most probably by replacing the 16 memory chips of 512MB by 8 chips of 1GB, by doing that they surely have included a smaller and lighter PSU. Mass production of those began in january.
I also don't understand Tachikoma's post. Or maybe some 2.5'' HDD could not be installed in the PS4 somehow, because a bit to big?
EDIT: Wait, does it mean the white PS4 is going to be sold in US?
