Yushire, I was around when ET released and it is horrible. Atari produced 4 million copies because they thought it being ET would sell that many. It's failure was so bad that Atari posted a loss of over $500 million in 1983 forcing the company to sell itself off the next year. Retailer also returned all the unsold copies which Atari buried in a New Mexico landfill.
Ninjabread man, while a flawed game, was actually profitable for it's publisher so much so that a sequel is already in development. I don't think you can say the same thing for ET.
