I think I'd be a bit disappointed if they had online/co-op, that's just purely adding a gameplay element for the sake of adding, I don't see GOW having good online (I mean would you really want two kratos running around to totally destroy the story) or even a VS mode would be a bit meh.
I'd prefer it if the developer came out and went "look, everyone's going online these days, and sometimes it's just for the sake of it. We're content with making an epic single player experience and our goal is to make the world's gamers say: 'online? who needs it!' "
now that would be truly awesome.
