No one is beholden to use the "80 equals average" scale that so many other websites use. There is no Metacritic policy that demands all reviewers employ the same grading system. Why so many people completely fail to understand this, I have no clue.
Whenever I see someone get upset because a game received a 7 or 8, it makes me face-palm.
