Play Borderlands or BF4 on 7th gen. Then try it on 8th gen. Side by side if you can, you will learn how much better 60 fps feels.
But hey, 60 fps isnt the most important thing to enjoy a game. But I certainly feel it impacts a game more than 1080p vs 720/900p.
If UC4 gave me the option to lower resolution for a better frame rate, I would choose that. |
Advising people who can't tell the difference to try to focus on the difference so that future gaming experiences are impacted negatively is some god awful advice. I personally don't tend to see a big difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS as long as the frame rate is stable. At the same time, I'm not about to go and hit myself with a dozen comparisons until I'm unable to avoid seeing the subtle differences it makes in most games. I enjoy being able not to care one lick about the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS. To me it's freeing.
