The original comment that I quoted was about owning two platforms. If you want to discuss nobody having money to buy two platforms then that is another topic. I think PC + Wii U or PS4 + Wii U gives you a much broader gaming experience than PS4 + PC, at the very least right now, but I think it will remain true in the future as well. If one has a PS4 or a PC it makes more sense to get a Wii U than a PS4 or PC (the opposite of what they had.)

Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart both have mainstream appeal beyond Nintendo fans. Both of them sold systems. Meanwhile, the same can't be said for Star Ocean.

Again u mention Mario which only appeal to Nintendo fans that almost extinct , Wii U is good but not good to replace PS4 in terms of games,  even Wii U is lack of Nintendo IP compared to their previous console neither fun to play like Wii with the Wii mote was. Again PS4 will have more then Star Ocean and far then you can imagine. So yeah Mario Kart and Super smash Bros really help Wii U dominating sales console this gen

No I mentioned Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros, both of which are not Mario series games. Mario Kart is not only a "Nintendo fan" franchise. It appeals to people like this.

The same is true for Super Smash Bros, which appeals to the brogamer.

Both series are greater than Nintendo. And I we aren't talking about sales. Stop trying to change the subject and talk about the topic at hand. "Are Nintendo or PS exclusives more different from the games PC gamers usually play?" is the question. I'd answer Nintendo.
