Judging by Metroid Prime 3's sales, I wouldn't say a new Metroid is what people want. Given the Wii U's install base and the added costs for HD development, there is no way the game would be profitable.


At best, you may hope that Nintendo's focus on amiibo is profitable enough for Nintendo to be willing to take a small loss for the sake of pleasing the remaining Metroid fans.
