anyone else sad at how they butchered the franchise names of popular titles?

Paper mario = doesnt look like paper mario.
Metroid = doesnt look like a metroid game.
Animal crossing = some monopoly type game?
Zelda tri-force heroes = multiplayer zelda game? just why?
