You didn't belittle or you didn't say it would appear on XBOne? Calling it "just a remake" is belittling, imo. Especially when everyone's collective heads exploded when Halo 2 was announced to be remade for XBOne in the MCC. That game wasn't "just a remake" to many. And you may not have outright said it would appear on XBOne, but am I wrong to assume that that's what you were implying? Or does FFVII not matter as much because it'll probably be on PC? SF5 is still a "big deal", but it ships day and date on PS4 and PC. But because FFVII looks like it'll appear on PC later, it's "just a timed remake"? Would it be better if it shipped day and date and was a "console exclusive"? I don't understand how SF5 is a big deal as a console exclusive, but a PS4/PC FFVII remake isn't because "it's just timed". |
I'd say your two posts are instances of reading too much into things.
I did neither. Sony had a strong conference, just not for the reasons people are going on about. Existing franchises new installments had good showings, some promising new IP was announced. Whilst Halo MCC had possibly the most content a shooter has ever had (save perhaps the Orange Box), I tend to simply view the announcement of new games as being more important than the announcement of old games - much as they can still be enjoyable.
