See I don't believe in the 'kickstarter or nothing' argument. At least this argument should not be. The 2 million goal is not going to be the difference in having enough resources to make this game, the total budget will be much higher. The can make the game if they want to. This Kickstarter is a way to make gamers responsible for part of the development costs, and thereby shifting more risk to the gamers even though a major companies are involved and this is not rrequired. The issue is that I see this becoming a precedent, leading to a trend in which devs/publishers start shifting the risks and development costs towards consumers. Thats a world turned on its head.
