I really understand kickstarter being used to already established developers that DOESN'T have any publisher or anything like that. I'm of course referring to Yooka-Laylee, Bloodstained and Mighty nr9 - but THIS? Sega OWNS that IP. Sega should be paying for this! Not the gamers. Soon enough, all the publishers have to do is pay for marketing and spend the necessery hours of developing the game, and the GAMERS will be doing the rest. We'll be paying for development and then BUY the game when it's complete. Wake up. This is just wrong

If you pay for development, you will get the game at no additional cost.

Which game is it that you still have to pay half price for it, even after backing the project?
But still, this could set a bad precedent for the entire industry to follow. It's a slippery slope my friend. Publishers hate to spend money on games, but loooves to get some from them

What? I don't understand. If you back the project, you will receive the game.
Here's the link showing you what you receive for backing the game: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ysnet/shenmue-3/pledge/new?clicked_reward=false
Nobody is forcing you to pay a single cent until the game is released...just like with any other game ever.
